Thread: Heljestrand 23 Wedge 5/8

I got this Heljestrand 23 for about $20 on ebay. Boy is it fun. It's a little swayback, wedgey 5/8 beast, with that awesome swedish steel. It's got that smooth mowing down feeling I get from big W&B wedges, but it's 5/8 and maneuverable, and the compact, dense feeling is perfect in my hands. Anyway, I love this thing.

Congrats! Yes, they are great aren't they? Mine are both round-points, though, and a bit more stained - but I too love the way they shave.


Edit: there isn't a Heljestrand MK no 23 5/8" in the SR Database yet. Mine are too ugly. Would you consider adding yours?

Mine's similar, a $22 No 22 wedge, with a spike point. I know what you mean. I am really liking my little wedges.

those are nice! as you characterize your 22, my 24 is no pretty boy, but he shaves like an animal (a very smooth, sophisticated animal).
