Default VINTAGE H BOKER & CO'S 'UNRIVALED'. RAZOR...I guess not!

I just bought this on the Bay for $18 shipped. I know nothing about it, but it looked good from the picture, so I thought 'what the heck.'

If this is in good shape and I have it honed, should this be a pretty good razor?

    Hi,
Pretty much all vintage straights make good shavers. I'm not sure that that's a Boker. The guy makes no reference to it having Boker on the razor. It's probable that it's just been stored in a Boker box.
Still, it's a good looking razor, in good condition. I'd be very happy with it for what you paid. Get it honed & enjoy!

The razor is a Clauberg, as the seller mentions in the description, in a boker box. FA Clauberg was based in NY, with the razors made in Solingen. Should be a very good shaver.

Wow, and here I was thinking I'd made it into the Boker Brotherhood!

Oh well, I'll send her out to Ken and have her honed and should have a very nice shaver for less than $40, not a bad deal.

Anyone need a Boker Box...$18 and it's yours!

    Thanks,
    Tod

    Hmmmmmmm talk about deceptive

I hate the e-bay crap sometimes you lucked out and got a good razor anyway......

Myself I would be writing the seller a little note that says, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG....
    but that's how I roll

Me too! I hold sellers to their descriptions. Except in this case, he was honest, just....not in his title. So the email would go something like this: I can't believe you advertised a Clauberg as a Boker....
