    Default Joining a Club

I would like to join the Butcher Shop and possibly the Restorers club at some point. I would also like to show the little flags that some people have on their signature. How do I do this? I love the English blades and want to join their clubs. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.
    Thanks!

I'm not sure how to get the brand-name-flags under the signature line, though I've often wondered... but one thing I reckon to be certain: you have to post a picture of a razor on one the club threads... I also suppose that you have to receive an invitation for them. I remember receiving one to joing the pipe smoking club.
Hope this helps. Somebody is bound to chime in and explain how it's done, I guess.
Good luck on joining the clubs!

For the butcher shop, most of those guys are using a blank template with the butcher shop logo that somebody made on photoshop or something, then putting their name in... You can join the club by just looking up the social groups and clicking "join", but you really should put up a pic when you do this. The restoration group is a group that must be invited by alex I think.

I don't have a logo made for the butcher shop, or the jolly rodgers so I just put those in my sig...

Are there benefits to joining particular clubs? Do newsletters get circulated or something?

Yeah, I don't get the clubs.
There seem to be way more club threads than actual 'social groups'...

At the one I've just been it says:

Dunno' if this has been done yet, but this is a club for those who like wedges. Joining is on the honor system. All you need to do is like wedges. No photo required unless you wanna'. Let's see your best (worst is good too).

I dub this club "The Wedgies".
There is no badge. So I guess you can just copy "The Wedgies"
    into your profile signature.
    Guess I'm going to do

Welcome to the SRP Razor Forums! Your moderators for this forum are Doc and Str8razor. You will find information here on everything from the care and feeding of straight razors, to who makes the prettiest and sharpest! You will also find the straight razor clubs where enthusiasts gather to discuss their favorite brands and post pictures of their favorite razors. This is a great place to start if you are looking for your first razor and doing research on the different brands available. It's also a great way to learn about the different grinds and shapes of various types of razors.

I started the razor clubs. the main purpose of them are for people of like tastes to show off there blades and a repository to gather as much history on the different brands as possible. Alot of this history has almost been lost. to join a club you usually just have to post a pic of your razor and your in. the sig. banners where developed by the club members to recognise each other. Just ask a member how to get a copy of a banner after you join the clubs of your choice.social clubs are a different animal and can be about anything. Hope this helps

Seems like that happens in the "club" threads.
The social groups themselves are a bit odd, too. The Daffy Ducks is invite only while others are public.

I dunno... Ultimately I suppose it's neither here nor there to me, personally, but it is a bit confusing.
