"Pic" razor ???
Anyone heard of it ? It looks like it may have been made in the '50s or '60s . All it says is "Pic" made in Germany , with "The Famous Pic Razor" etched in the blade . It doesn't appear to be a high quaility razor , and it has cheesy looking white plastic scales . It has some hone wear , so I assume someone was shaving with it , but I have some doubts as for the quality of the steel because it doesn't "ring" like my other razors do . I will be grateful for any info on this razor .

Thanked: 1I know it's an old thread...
The PIC razor was my first. It was in my Dad's garage with another (he was a prop man years ago). Mine has black scales and no logo on the blade but the same 14143 marking on the box.
I picked up another PIC here a few yers ago - 14173 - and it's actually my favorite.
I'm sure there are other razors of higher quality out there but that's my 2 cents.

Thanks Elroy . It looks like an economy razor . I'm not very impressed with it , but seeing as how you like yours , . maybe I'll hone mine up , and give it a try .

I had one and was very happy with the edge it took. Mine also had that odd, looks wider than is should wear on it.
