Thanked: 7Who made this?
I have a covered tang razor, with an engraved wreath on the blade.
It is a little hollow grind with barbers notch.
Celluloid scales came on it, and the tang covering was bone/ivory, but worn down enough to not be able to make out all the lettering.
All I can make out is
Mansour
El
Hi{lon}?
The last part in brackets could be the results of scratches, and not actually what is there. and the El, is on the line between the two, not the way it shows up in the thread
Here is the only shot I have of it at the moment, Right now it is being fitted with new tang covering, and is in a vise waiting for the glue to dry.

I wish I could see the rest of the blade, but the wreath looks very similar to one of my Bokers..............

Thanked: 7Woah!
The wreath is similar, but the scales are a dead ringer!
I'll get a pic up of the blade, can you post the wedge end of the scales?

Thanked: 7Very interesting.
The scales are a perfect match(although mine have a bit more "grain")
The wreath is very similar, as is the general geometry of the blade, IE: angled spine, notch, and the first part of the tang.
Your Boker lacks the third pin on the tail though, and mine does not have the "B" inside the wreath.

Gents that is a might fine looking pair of razors! The Boker is outstanding! Do you use it regularly or is it a show piece? I ask because I have one I just can't seem to use because I'm afraid I may damage it somehow.

not even close to a showpiece, I use it at least once a week as it is one of my favorites ! the steel is awesome, I bought it shave ready and I have kept it sharp with just a swaty , the edge is awesome
I really dont recommend you trying to use yours, if your nervous you might cut yourself and i would feel terrible, so to reduce the stress of owning such a beautiful piece, please feel free to send it to me and i will happily shave with for you !
