That Tally Ho alone would fetch more than that when it's cleaned up! Nice deal. That is an interesting point on the Marshes and Shepherd. Like he was going for a spanish, then decided on a round. It's a spound point!

Great find. One blade alone would cost that much on the Bay. I love hearing thee stories. Imagine how many razors e would all have if we all got deals like that. I call it a deal, but in local shops that is what the prices are every day if we catch them. Good luck with the lot!

I found them at yesterday's Flatrock, Michigan flea market. It was pretty big, probably 400 vendors. They have it at a speedway, and I went with my friend who set up a space to sell records. He did well, sold about $600 worth.
I was hoping all day to find like, a whole coffee can full of razors :P instead, I ended up at a knife dealer's booth.
Initially, I'm looking through his stuff, and it is all fairly expensive... $30 for a carbo magnetic.. $50 for a boker... $50 for a thistle cut... $100 for a 2-razor set in a box... $180 for a 2 razor "Buck Bros" set....
I figured I was fairly out of luck at this booth.
So, I asked him about one of the razors, I think it was a joseph rodgers that he had $60 on... and he goes "Man, that theres an old one -- i can't go lower than 50"... And after some hoo-in and haw-in..he says "if ya like the older ones, I got this here"... at which point, he unwraps the leather pack revealing 7 AMAZING razors (all except the W&B Fine india steel above). I ask him how much hes asking for them expecting to hear per-razor prices... and he says "I just marked em down today to 100"... I expected 100 per razor..and then he says "they are a nice batch and worth 100 altogether". i immediately gave him 100.
I went back to his booth at the end of the day and made an offer for 2 more razors...he simply wouldnt budge on price.
I picked up the W&B at another booth -- the only other booth in the place with a straight razor i swear. that was $15 and got me up to my 115 mark.
Good days!

Thanked: 171Man, great story undream!
That guy sounds nuts! The prices he's charging for the single razors vs what he charged you for all of those. Weird! He clearly doesn't know what he could have gotten on the 'bay for em!
