    Default S/R Faux Pax?

    So, I can't lie...

I really like the razor from the sweeney Todd movie. Not so much the blade, but the scales. Would it be a diservice to all things staight if I bought the razor and repinned it with a Sheffield blade?

I'm a sucker for tim burton.

    IMHO, yes.

    The scales will not balance.

Ask oldblades to craft some scales that look similar. Maybe Max can do it too.

I recently(saturday) was able to hold one, and the scales are about 3 times heavier than they look. And they look plenty heavy.

Almost certainly still to heavy and probably too long to boot. I'm sure that one of the resto gurus can make you something that you will think looks even better if you spend a little time telling them what you want.

Yeah, and I'm starting to think that functionality is gonna be a big factor.

Besides, the real Sweeney would have used a real straight. Movie props are props, they aren't real. And! The play came first.

Did you know there's a sweeney Todd barber shop in LA? My sister just took a trip out there and texted me a picture. I told her to go inside and find out what kind of razors they use, but she had already left the area...guess I'll have go go out there myself fora shave. Don't worry, I'll be sure to bring some bandaids.

Sweeny Todd is an urban myth, a fiction in case you didn't know.
