Thanked: 151New Buys off the Bay
Does anyone know if this is a Double Duck? I have always wanted one and just got these two for $17. I don't know about the other one, but at worst it will be scrapped.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=120413895433

Bresnick, Bresduck and Dubl Duck are all names that were used by the same company at different times. The name on the blade can give you some insight into its age, but I can never remember which years go with which names.
Looks like a good grab, congrats.

Pearlduck is post WWll, Bresduck is early WWll and just prior and the bresnick is pre WWll. Models will vary according to which era they were from and many of the early Bresnicks were from before Double Duck was ever used. Bresnick was the name of the guy who owned the original barber supply company and pearl comes from Pearlson who owned the company which made most of the pearl models we are familiar with.

I was following that one and had a snipe ready to go. Then I said to myself, "You can't buy all the good deals on razors, you would go broke. Step aside and let someone else get a good deal!"
So, I canceled my snipe and deleted it from my watched items (it would only irritate me to find out it WAS a great deal).
I am happy to find out they went to someone here that obviously is going to enjoy them. It worked out well!

Thanked: 151Thanks for letting me win the item. I have seen Double Ducks sell for huge amounts of money so I said I wanted to get one even if it was in bad shape. After I get done with the restore I am going to post it up. With the prices they sell for I can only imagine it will be a perfect shaver. Even if it isn't a real double duck it will be closer than anything else I have had to one.
