    Default cobra Classic

I'm a new member to the forum as well as a new buyer with Classic Shaving.
After spending $40 for mach three gilettes for 20 blades I figured the time has come to change.

Does anyone have any info on the Cobra Classic Razor? How does it shave? Close? Smooth? I also bought a new shaving brush and some mug soap as well as a holder for them. I'm going all the way, ha. Edwardj

If you think you are going to be saving money by going to straights you are deluding yourself!!

I will, however, buy the argument that it will help save on landfills.

The classic has been on the drawing board for over a year now. I guess it finally went into production.

From what I have read it is ridiculously heavy and only takes one blade. Feathers are great but they are stupid sharp and can irritate peoples skin. IME when I used feathers in DEs I had nothing but problems because they were too sharp.

IMHO this razor has some major draw backs. 1 - It ONLY uses feather blades, 2 - It is heavier than a Red tip, 3 - The blades are too sharp.

If you like these qualities then by all means get one. If you want to use a feather blade as an injector get yourself a Schick and a feather injector blade and snap off the blades. It has been done before. It is also cheaper with a Schick.

    YMMV
