I thought you would get a kick out of these.

The Mastro Livi Snake Razor is actually a little over 9/8 and the other Mastro is actually a 12/8 blade. Talk about some cutlery.......

Both were a gas to hone and great shavers. But.....as mentioned, you get these things around the chin and you have to watch your angle like crazy. They really wanna flatten out to 90 degrees........

    Have fun,

    Lynn

Sham, I'm worried about you. First the chin next time the throat Send that razor down here to me and it may save your life.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    12/8??? That's a whole 'lotta Livi!
Better have some postiive jimps to control that much "twist" when you are around the chin and jaw!!

Holy Behemoth Batman! I think my local butcher uses a blade slightly smaller than that Livi to cut porkchops!

Great blade. I'm very impressed that you found it easy to sharpen, experience shows!

It took me about three weeks of near-daily attempts to get mine right. With tape, with lots of tape, without tape, rolling X, rockin' and rolling X, DMTs of pitiless grit, coticule with slurry like Kahlua, prayer, cursing, and a few complete bevel-reset do-overs due to waviness.

It eventually came out great, well worth it. And the weight adds a nice resistance training element to the morning shave.

I looked at that thread and up until now I really didn't think many people could make me jealous of their razors - but a few of you did!

May be (100% i am not sure) you have pressure problems. this blade is so huge you just lay it on hone that is all . choose your motion. i thought this may help.

shaving with this is different animal as you know i did my part on my chin,
