Dorko Entry for Wiki - Make and Model
I picked this Dorko up and need some help with the info to put this one into the Wiki database. I started but can't find a single Dorko in there. It looks like I can figure out most of it, but who make the Dorko? The description from the buy says Dorten & Co in Solingen but I've seen other manufacturers mentioned in here as well.
Rasiermesser DORKO SOLINGEN 5/8 unbenutzt Goldätzung - eBay (item 190306683166 end time May-20-09 13:15:00 PDT)
I guess I just need manufacturer and model on this one. The rest I can pull together. So is it correct to use Dorten as manufacturer and Dorko as model - or is there more to the Dorko part, like there's different Dovos?
Thanks all

Dorko is an actual company and they do have a web site. They make barbering supplies though they stopped making straights several years ago. As far as I know they made their own razors however to tell you the truth they are like the German pearlduck as a supplier to the trade so its possible they had their razors made by someone else. You should try emailing them.
I actually have a razor similar to yours. I was told they made razors for foreign use so mine has French on it as it was supposed to be used there. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Heribert Wacker makes Dorko razors now with the permission of the Dorten family. He did his apprenticeship with Dorko. Dorko razors - old and new - are very good razors. In quality they are among the best.
