Default Need info on this razor

    Greetings,

I mentioned to a friend that I'm getting into straight razor shaving. He said "I've got a razor if you are interested".
So, for $15, i purchased a Peter Frost razor. It has Radiumite etched onto the blade. All in all, it looks to be in good shape, but it's not shave ready.

My question is, where does this blade stand in terms of quality? Could it be a good shaver, or is it simply useful for practicing honing and stropping skills?

    Cheers,
    Rick

'Razors designed by Jim Frost' are listed, but not peter frost.

If it's vintage, and in good nick, it can probably be used and abused once more.

    Pics!

Edit: I have a feeling Radiumite is an American maker.

Thanks for catching that. I guess Jim Frost is the Paki trick in this case, doubling the Frost TM, like calling razors Soligen etc...

Sorry for the lack of pics folks, I gave my digital to my daughter. Anyway, I know it isn't a treasure. I just wanted to know if it was junk. The price was right, so no problem there. It will be fine for learning how to hone and strop.
    Thanks for your input.

I'm beginning to appreciate how much there is to learn

    Cheers,
    Rick
