Thread: Other razors with cracked ice scales?

Hello,
First time posting on SRP! Does any one know of any other razors with the cracked ice scales? I love the look of them, but don’t want to step up to the dubl duck just yet. Looking for just a nice shaving razor with the cracked ice scales. Anyone point me in the direction of a few manufactures that make these, new or old?

Sta-Sharp's are a great razor that can be had usually at a lower price than a DD. Made by Sears they can sometimes be found on the Classifieds or ebay, but be careful there.

There are others, just have experience with these and have found them to be quite nice.

there are a lot of razors with those scales. I know Glen has a nice collection you might check with him. Here is a nice one I had sometime ago.

Cracked Ice....ooooooohhhhh! Time to stare into the razor cabinet!

Rega-Cut made stainless blades in cracked ice scales with triple pins. One sold on the classifieds, and I gave one to a fellow forum member.

If you hurry, go to the hone section of the classifieds, there's an Ichabod Conk set there with a cracked ice razor that I believe is actually a dovo re-label, with a decent (if not good?) quality strop. Can't really speak to the quality of the hones, don't know anything about them. Maybe a senior member can speak more about this. I think the razor, strop, hone combo for $100 is a pretty good start up set up. But I've only been at this a few months. Maybe an older member will second this or correct me?
