Default And so I begin RAD with a bang.

I just bought this Gold Edge off a guy in Alaska for a very reasonable fee. Even so I had to go cash my tax refund. Something I did not want to do, but I thought the chance may never come again. The tang is not tarnished, thats the remnants of the gold plate. Quick question, should I leave it as is, or take it off so its uniform shiny steel?

Depends on where you want to take the restore you could actually take it off, polish it out, then replace the gold after the polishing is done...

Myself I either have clean shiny steel or perfect Gold but parts of each in my eyes looks terrible...

So my vote is clean it off...
