I've seen and read so many Wacker at the german boards, I'd be more curious about a Livi cause its nowhere near standards IMHO.

I don't know who is grinding the new Revisors, but I love mine.

If Gramps is a fan of big razors how about this?

If your gramps gets both he can tell you. Who you gonna trust more in this - strangers in a forum or your own grandfather?

i believe both razors are new grinds of old blanks. the livi is a whole lot more appealing to me as far as aesthetics go, but i prefer horn to ebony as scale material, but the ebony is really really nice, so i'd be perfectly happy with that too.

other than that i haven't used neither, so i can't comment on function.

Which blade are you saying is better, the Livi?

We did check out Robert Williams' site and his blades but Chandler's website only had one straight on it.

I have two Wackers, one Livi regrind and one of the new Bökers.
They are all great shavers. There is no wrong answer to this one, no matter what he desides to buy.

I don't have my Livi new grinds here at work to confirm the grind, but my recollection is they are closer to half hollow than full hollow. Lynn might stop by and make an official pronouncement.

I own the other one (the Wacker), and I love it. Note, I also don't like the gold wash treatment on most Wackers, but this one only has a bit on the face of the blade, none on the spine or tang, and it looks pretty cool when you partially polish it off with Maas...

I think the big deciding point between these two razors might be the grind-- the Wacker is a 1/4 hollow grind, and is very hefty (which I like). What's the grind on the Livi?

Note, I also have a full hollow grind Dovo, and I like the contrast between the 2 razors-- I alternate using them every shave.
