Default what do the numbers mean?

I looked for information on what the numbers mean such as 5/8, 8/8 and the such but I have had no luck. Can someone enlighten me?

The numbers are the blade width measured in 1/8" increments (sometimes you will see the width given in 1/16") i.e. 6/8 is a blade that is 6/8" (or 3/4") in width.

    Cheers,

    Rick
