    Picked up a nice Torrey, tiny chip on one of the scales, no cracks, nice clean edge, for $20 bucks. I'm gonna send it for honing soon. I have it stropped up and ready for a shave test... this way I will be able to appreciate the improvement!

    LOL. You're in for a treat... That's what I did... tried an ebay razor without honing it. You will notice a difference. It's a great proof of concept and a great way to see what shave ready is, but be willing to take a nick or too, maybe a patch of razor burn.

    Not the closest or most comfortable shave, but no nicks or cuts. Definitely felt less smooth than the mystery blade or the duplex. Now to find out what a good honing will do...
