    Default C&H Birkendahl

    Hello
I need your help. this is my razor :

I bought him a month ago.I`m glad of it, but I doubt it is quite worn. Am I right, or whether it is "singing" razors?
I also doubt that it is remaking..

Thanks in advance, and sorry for my terrible english.

Your English is just fine. As to the razor, what kind of help are you seeking? I can't tell how much hone wear is there. But the razor looks like it would clean up nicely. I don't know anything about that razor maker. Perhaps one of our more experienced members can help with that.

Primarily interested in me whether normal edge is so thin, and if it is incorrect honing?

About Carl & Hugo Birkendahl, i have very scarce information :

It looks normal, the razor isn't in too bad of shape right now... I say hone it up (send it to one of the honemeisters here) and give it a go.

There are a lot of honemeisters in Europe, but you always can send to Israel.=))

That is a very nice razor. It is in good shape and is definately a 1/1 hollow ground "singing razor". It doesn't look like it has been honed all that much. You see a little hone wear on the side of the spine. That should make a great shaver.

    Thanks for the responses!
Yes, razor shave great, and I am very pleased with it.
In Bulgaria the standard of living is lower in comparison with other countries in Europe, so I can not afford better. Otherwise, I would like some razor in better condition, but unfortunately they are too expensive.
For example - I`ve got this razor for $ 10
But I hope in time to gather money to buy something like that .

I personally love 8 / 8 or 7 / 8 razors with a spike point ot Barbers Notch, but here in my country I can not find ...
