After the fantastic first shave off the hone today, I believe I'll be shaving all 7 days with my newly-acquired Kinfolks Blue Steel Special.

Being patriotic, it has always disappointed me that I own so few American razors, and don't use even one in my rotation. I generally prefer 6/8ths and above, which handicaps me against the usually smaller American-made razors. I have a Case, a Union Cutlery, and a Bowdin's Wedge, all 5/8ths.

But this Kinfolks Blue Steel Special 11/16ths is just a little monster. It may be plain, but the incredible edge it takes and the shave it gives put it in the top tier of anything I have, at any price, grind, or size. Finally I'm shaving with American-crafted steel that can hold with the very best! Highly recommended little razor, wow.

My obligatory pic, let's see some more American steel!:

I got on a USA made kick a few months ago and haven't shaved with anything else since.
