Thread: Clauss USMC question

Which one is it, the one with the USMC on the blade or on the shank?

If it has the USMC on the shank then they're fairly common in excellent+ condition. If it's the older style with the USMC on the blade then they're pretty uncommon in that condition. Or at least that used to be the case, I haven't paid much attention to ebay the last few years. I had four Clauss USMCs at one point, two of each model, and saw them pop up every few week. I've since sold mine to various marines so I don't have any at the moment. Fine razors though, like all Claussen, and stout suckers to boot - I always figured the marines had specced them for optional combat use, just in case it came to that.
