Punjab razor
So I found a Punjab Razor. Whats the quality on these? Tang stamp: Des Moines Cutlery Co, Des Moines, Iowa, Made in German. Obverse Tang: Trade Mark (some weird writing like sanscrit or something) Punjab.
It's in pretty good shape, very little tarnish, those brown/black striped handles with plain nickel bolsters like one might see on a De-Fi, and comes with original box, for $45. If it were a Dovo or Dubl Duck it would now be mine, but since I don't know it's reputation, I'm holding out for advice.

Would this be really good shape? Or just okay shape?

Looks like it is in nice condition. Hard to tell about the edge without close up pictures. If the edge isn't chipped or pitted, I would say it is a really nice razor. She's very attractive

Thanked: 155Punjab - region stradling the border between India and Pakistan.
Pakistani razors - know for use of poor quality steel.
On the other hand, India was the source for Wootz steel, the key ingredient in true Damascus steel blades.
You be the judge.

This isn't a Paki razor, and the punjab hones got good reps, just never heard of a punjab razor.

Punjab is obviously just a name. perhaps they were trying to compete with Bengall, made in Sheffield?
