Thanked: 522Rust Preventative
Most of us are concerned about the prevention of rust on our razors. In my work as a water evaporation plant operator, I have occasion to use a great rust inhibitor in our vapor compressors. It is called " NOX-RUST " and is made by Daubert Chemical Co in Chicago.
Daubert Chemical Company 4700 S. Central Avenue Chicago, IL 60638 Via Fax: 708-496-7367 Inside US: 800-688-0459 Outside US: 708-496-7350

If you would like to try something different besides mineral oil, camelia oil and TuffGlide, I have included the address and phone number for anyone interested. This is great stuff and comes highly recommended by our compressor manufacturer for the preservation of steel.
Hopefully they are willing to sell it in a small amount like a 100 ml bottle. Maybe I will contact them to find out if this stuff is available for sale in small amounts to hobbyists like us .............. JERRY

Thanked: 155Which version are you using (there are a number)? Most appear to be petroleum oil based with some additives. I would want to see the MSDS before I used it on my razors and thus brought it into contact with my skin.

That's a good thought. I'll check the MSDS sheet next week.
Thanks
