I've never had a desire to try to collect every razor I can get my hands on. Even so, like most of us I have shave ready razors that I shave with but I've never had a constantly rotating rotation, I've always favored shaving with one razor for as long as a month before switching to another.

That said, it occurred to me today that I've been shaving with the same razor for months with just touch ups on a chrome ox pasted balsa strip. I've come to rely on this razor and have started to view it as the precision tool that I shave with day in and day out. It gives great shaves, is dependable, reliable and I "know" this razor. I don't think I could make a bold move to sell off all my other razors and just go forward with just this one razor, but it's an interesting observation I've had. I could almost see picking one razor and using that razor year in and year out. Ok.....maybe not, but almost.

It's a 5/8 round point half hollow Hoffritz 3 pin razor with white plastic scales that I purchased from Lynn about a year and half ago before SRD was in existence. I've since re-honed the razor completely as I've had it that long. I remember telling him that I was looking for a razor that I could keep for years and a razor that would be a no frills high quality SHAVER. Imagine that, Lynn sold me a razor that fit the bill exactly. The man knows his stuff.
