I'm getting attached to a single razor
I've never had a desire to try to collect every razor I can get my hands on. Even so, like most of us I have shave ready razors that I shave with but I've never had a constantly rotating rotation, I've always favored shaving with one razor for as long as a month before switching to another.
That said, it occurred to me today that I've been shaving with the same razor for months with just touch ups on a chrome ox pasted balsa strip. I've come to rely on this razor and have started to view it as the precision tool that I shave with day in and day out. It gives great shaves, is dependable, reliable and I "know" this razor. I don't think I could make a bold move to sell off all my other razors and just go forward with just this one razor, but it's an interesting observation I've had. I could almost see picking one razor and using that razor year in and year out. Ok.....maybe not, but almost.
It's a 5/8 round point half hollow Hoffritz 3 pin razor with white plastic scales that I purchased from Lynn about a year and half ago before SRD was in existence. I've since re-honed the razor completely as I've had it that long. I remember telling him that I was looking for a razor that I could keep for years and a razor that would be a no frills high quality SHAVER. Imagine that, Lynn sold me a razor that fit the bill exactly. The man knows his stuff.

Thanked: 953After a couple of years of shameless, wanton "shaving around" I've been eyeing my simple Friodur 70 1/2 11/16s roundpoint as marriage potential, so I understand what you are saying. Still don't shave more than a few days in a row with it, but I feel guilty when I stray. I always get a good shave from it, I never have razor burn, I can get a great 2 pass shave if I've been beating my face up experimenting with other blades, I never have trouble honing it. It simply rocks.
Ironically, however, my desire to possibly shave with one razor a decent amount of the time [not really ready to go a whole month being monogamous but I can actually conceive of it now] isn't dulling my RAD in the slightest. In fact, it makes me want to find another old school friodur.

Been Thinking the Same
Me too.
I too have tried to buy every razor I could, into stainless razors now. I have found a 6/8, round point with full hollow to be the ticket for me. My quest was to get a 7 day set of unique razors that all were perfect shavers. That has not happened but have found one Dovo from SBELL, Scott, that is a fantastic shaver. Have a couple Friodurs right behind the Dovo.
That leads me to thinking like you to reduce the razors to maybe 2 or 3 and be happy.

Maybe you should sell the other razors. They're bound to get jealous eventually and take it out on your prize.
