Default found a nice little pipe (turtle scales?)

    Hi all,
Picked this little guy up today. I had the discipline to wait until payday and thankfully it was still there. I don't have much experience with turtle (faux or real) but it seems like they're the real deal. Either way I'm happy. I like the taper and it's in great shape...Just a couple spots on the blade and some funk near the pivot.

Looks like real tortoise to this layman, faux tends to have more figuring and lacks the slightly ridged texture evident in the second picture of the second post.

    Nice blade!
The handle is mottled horn (painted on spots).

I agree with 0livia. It is dyed horn - faux turtle, but natural material still beautiful
