Henkels 401
Does anyone know what the "401" means on the Henkels razor? Thanks.

Yes, i don't think it relates to anything more than model numbers. It's a bit odd that they also use half increments.

Thanks for the replies. I thought it might be stainless steel at first(you know like SS 401, a common alloy), I picked it up at an antique shop and it looked brand new and unused. John sounds like it is one that you admire it is certainly a very well made piece and looks like it would handle good. It is no more than a 4/8. I thought also they might encript the size in the #s.

Thanked: 953Henckels does make stainless and non-stainless versions of the same model number. ie I've seen 70 1/2 stainless razors and 70 1/2 non stainless. But if it's stainless it will also say "friodur" and "inox" on it.
