My favorites are my favorites only because of the shaves I get. They are super sharp and go ATG with no tugging -- result? BBS!

Right now I'm favoring the Torrey (from GW - so sharp AND smooth), the new Dovo which I just got last week (this one is honed by Lynn and such a smooth shaver - 6/8 is the way to go IMO), and the R. Klaas -- my first razor and still my favorite I think. It's been shaved with the most and still holds the stellar edge provided by Sham (hi_bud_gl) from the beginning of April.

In all seriousness, if anybody has a chance to pick up a Klaas (sometimes called Kissing Crane brand), I'd recommend it. The steel is so hard and the edges keep forever.

To answer your question GW (as you can tell from the last paragraph), I'd give the red Dovo Bismarck a recommendation any day of the week. With the pile of razors you have laying around you could definitely justify moving them for the cost of it!

Thanks for all the compliments and interest, guys. I'll be putting up pics of the Gold Bug and Easy Aces when I get them back from Max.

    Cheers,

    Ogie

I tried that once and gave up. Now when CarrieM says something about "you already have..." I come back with "I only have...". She finally gave up.

Very cool , those are some very nice razors you have. I am a big fan of the wade and butcher notch razors. The bismark is something I have consider buying soon; how is it as a shaver?

I've had one shave with it so far and it turned out great. Ask me again in two weeks when I get back to it again

For anybody interested, the Puma 222 came in today and I got a great shave out of the box. eBayer who hones his own razors!

I took some pics and added them to the album - link in the signature.

Also putting up a SOTD for today.

    Thanks for looking.
