Thanked: 0How can I buy genuine DOVO straight razors?
I am in Asia, so I guess I shall be looking for some online shops. May you suggest some shops where I can buy a genuine DOVO straight razor, preferably, cheap?
Recently I found that some shops on the street are selling new DOVO razors for only 20 to 30 EUR . Is it likely that they are fraud? Because what I can find on ebay, they cost at least 50 EUR.Last edited by iwanttofly4; 07-10-2009 at 06:51 AM.

Thanked: 317Asia is a big place, so from the post I just assumed that you were from a country where it's harder to get such things.
If it's just about getting a good razor on the cheap, I'd STRONGLY recommend that you take a look at the classifieds. I've bought 3 razors through these forums.
1st - A great deal on a great razor from a great seller in the classifieds.
2nd - A great deal on a great razor from a great seller through PM's without going through the classifieds.
3rd - A great deal on a good razor from a really crumby and non-communicative seller through the classifieds.
All in all, my experience has been a very positive one.

Put and add on SRP classified asking for a used Dovo and state your budget. A member may be OK with parting with one if they knew they had buyer.
Good Luck,

Assuming they are new stock, compare the shape, engraving, font, grind, scales, embossing, etc to those on the internet Dovo vender sites. Most fake knife copies that I have seen were not good copies.
I would not trust the mere fact that is has "Dovo" stamped on it.Last edited by matt321; 07-11-2009 at 12:32 AM.

I didn't want to mess around with vintage blades when I wanted to learn to straight shave so just bought a new Dovo from an on-line store. They advertise on SRP and are good people. They know you'll be back for more and will treat you right.

20 or 30 USD for a genuine DOVO: seems fishy to me.
