Thanked: 0Estate Find
I recently bought a mini collection of straight razors and can not find information about a couple. Has anyone heard of a "pr \dat-brun" blade with a symbol of a shaving brush underneath? It is probably one of the best quality blades in the group.
Also have a "King Razor Mfg" king's barber supply special
20th Century Mfg Chicago
Caschmiso Solingen blade
these are some I can not find much on.
Thanks

+1 pics are helpful in us helping you.
Are you planning on using these straight razors for shaving or do you collect them?

Nice haul. Some of those will make outstanding shavers once cleaned up a bit and honed. I'm not familiar with the few named you asked about. There is a razor database in the SRP Wiki here. You may luck out and find something in there.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 0I am tempted
I have to say after looking around this forum I am tempted to try and use a straight razor, I do alot of shaving and have used to love having a straight razor used on the back of my neck at the barber shop. I have been shaving my head for years and have not had the need to visit a barber in a long time. I just think I would do some damage to myself. I did find the instructions from this forum on Wiki.
I had no idea there was so much interest in straight razors. I went to the estate sale and they sold more than 100 razors I probably should have done a little more research before going, I could have probably had them all for under 300.00 and some were very rare apparently.

that's a way cool estate find!! You may not be a collector but now would be a good time to start! It's not really the collector part but the different shave quality and feel from the different blades and grinds. More like collecting different shaves instead of the razors.

That first one looks like "PRADAT-BRUN", not PR/DAT BRUN. Never heard of the brand, but it looks like a nice razor.
A Droescher, a Joseph Elliot... some very nice brands there!
