Hen and Rooster: Pakistani Steel?
Looks like there was something on the tang that was sanded/ground/buffed off-
ended in TAN. Only thing I know would be on a razor tang like that is Pakistan.
Thoughts?

I know someone said they are probably Dovo- but why would anyone buff/sand any Dovo stamp off? Any stamp for that matter?

That's wild. Isn't that what some US companies used to do a hundred years ago too? Isn't that why laws were passed that country of origin had to be stamped rather than etched on so that simply buffing could not erase it? wow
you may try turning your brightness down - I see it well (my monitor is failing)Find me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage

I'll put up the other pictures the seller has. It is IDENTICAL to the hen and rooster official website.
Also worthy of mention- no where on the razor does it say Solingen, only on the case....Last edited by khaos; 07-14-2009 at 04:39 PM.

From the sale (purple handle)
From the website (brown handle)- the purple one is on their site as well, but in order to differentiate the website vs. teh sale I chose different scales. The blades look exact. I would not call the one up for sale a fake Hen and Rooster. Therefore I *suspect* that the original stamp says Pakistan, and that Hen and Rooster is using Pakistani blanks, and grinding/scaling them in Solingen. Please, anyone with experience drop your thoughts. I don't want to call a "Dovo" a Pakistan razor and therefore knock legitimate razors off the market, but I do feel if they are Pakistani, it should be known.

easy to find out, I just left a message on their phone asking them to call me back and what the origin of the blades was.

If they intentionally are relabelling it they'll try and talk around the matter though.
