Thanked: 0Mystery razor help...
So I picked up a razor I had never heard of and am asking for some help with any information about it. The box says:
"KOOL razor 6/8 XVI K.R.CO.LTD and the razor is shown below...
So has anyone heard of a ROMA 55???
Thanks.

Welcome to SRP. Check out the SRP Wiki here. There is a straight razor data base and that brand may be represented within. There are also tutorials on all things straight razor shaving, honing, stropping related.
Your razor looks like it is a high quality piece with the jimps over and under the tang and being of Sheffield steel. I bet if it is professionaly honed it will make an outstanding shaver.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 1903Unfortunately not: Search results for "roma" - Straight Razor Place Wiki.
Utterly adorable razor, though. You may want to actually upload it to the database

Thanked: 0I have definitely looked just about everywhere to find info on this razor which is why I was hoping to find someone here with some knowledge that hasn't spread to the internet. I have straight razor shaved for a few years now and been on the site for sometime now, only just signed up though. I will upload it to the database though if I can find any info.
Thanks
Matt

Thanked: 3795To avoid confusion, you should consider the possibility that the razor and the box do not match.
Does the back of the tang say anything?

Thanked: 0Very good point about the box not matching. I am not sure if they do or not, but there is nothing written nor are there any symbols on the back of the tang or blade.

Unfortunately, the trademark "Roma" does not meet anywhere. Only if "Genco De Roma" - the trademark which used Geneva Cutlery.
"The Flag Razor" I have not found too, but have found "Flag Knife". It is necessary to look, may be, they are connected.Alex Ts.
