Wanna share my new razor with everyone!
Hey guys, I just wanted to come in here and let you all know how happy i am with my newest straight razor. Its a Dovo best 6/8. I bought a WM elliot & co from HL-BUD for my first razor and its very nice too, but the spike had got me a few times. And the blade itself was light and somewhat small. I have a feeling i will use that razor to practice honing later on down the road.
This razor has given me my closest shave yet (been straight shaving for about a month). I was surprised how much different a full hollow razor sounds while shaving, very cool noise. I was also happy to find out that this larger blade is much easier to strop with, i seem to be able to use very light pressure much easier now. I managed to do ATG on my chin with almost no pulling and overall my face is very smooth. Sorry if im rambling on but i just wanted to share my excitement with all you guys who have helped me so much with this fun new hobby.
The truefitt and hill cream, combined with this razor is going to give me great results for a long time. Enjoy the pic!! And thanks again

Thanked: 3795Very nice!
Given that you want to share it with everyone, I'd like to be first on the list. I'll PM you my address where you can mail it!
The wider blades definitely are easier to strop.

Hah, im sure you got plenty of straights! Yeah, i was very happy with how easy this was to strop, the smaller lighter blades are very easy to just move ever so slightly and mess up your strokes. Ill still use my other straight, but i may actually need to get it honed. There are a few small knicks on the blade. Didnt seem to matter when shaving with it, but eventually ill need it honed.

Not only a very nice looking razor, but if you can do ATG on the chin without pulling, it is going to be a "go to" razor! Wise purchase. BTW-who honed it?
