Default Were Wosty framebacks one piece or soldered?

Hey guys, just got a wostenholm frameback I bought off ebay. cool razor.

I see at the toe though, or front if you will, a slight gab between the blade and the spine. I can live with that. I also see a bit of a discoloration like it got heat right there at one point.

so here is my question, how was this made? doesn't look like it could have been made one piece. so is it griction fit? or is it soldered in, which I think is the case since it looks like it got a bit of heat.

Any pictures? I know there are a few different models of Wosty framebacks (at least three that I've had my paws on), and they might all be different. Pics to see specifically what you are talking about or just the razor in general should help.

There are one piece framebacks and two piece. I never remember which is the older. My impression always was that the two piece were just very tightly fitted into the upper frame. I didn't think they were soldered of course I could be wrong.

By definition a frameback should be made of two parts. If the blade is just one piece, it can be a concave or a rattler ( = faux-frameback). Then, according to the answer to your question, we could change its name; OK?
