Geneva Cutlery Co.find.
I think I've caught RAD from somewhere.(what do the letters stand for anyway?) That's two razors and an old fancy lookin' scuttle I've bought in the last couple of days.
I found this razor and snapped it up straight away!It looks good to me.With a bit of polishing and sharpening It could be great. The funny thing is I recently got outbid on another one which also had black scales and an eagle on the blade but hey, $20 !! I'm so chuffed. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=270430509924Last edited by charlie762; 07-22-2009 at 05:12 PM.

Thanked: 317That's a nice looking razor. I don't see much hone wear on it, and it looks even.
Are you going to just clean it up and hone it, or are you going to re-scale?
As far as the R.A.D., don't worry, yet. Time to worry is when you've got R.A.D. & H.A.D. (hone acquisition disorder) or God forbid, you start doing like me and mix R.A.D. with something more expensive like N.A.S. (Nikon Acquisition Disorder).

Aw heck more disorders to worry about ! it's bad enough that I'm a hypodron....condahyp....I think I've got all sorts.I may have picked up the Nikon one already since I got my D40x. I'm going to have it cleaned, honed and re-scaled as well.Hone wear looks pretty minimal and it looks even to me too.

I saw that one and was thinking about picking it up to hone and sell on the cheap on the classifieds... but I'm having a bit of a cash flow situation due to my own RAD. Congrats; I'm glad another forum member picked her up.

Thanked: 317A D40x? nah... That's not N.A.S.
When you've got a couple of bodies, 4 or 5 hot lights, 2-3 tripods, a pair of flashes, radio flash controllers, multiple bags and $3000 worth of lenses; AND you've had to start doing wedding photography to pay for your photo gear, THEN you have N.A.S.
You said you were "going to have it" cleaned and rescaled. Does that mean you'll be sending it out?
I considered that for a long time, and one of these days I'd still like to have max or glen do a custom resto for me, but I've found that with nothing but a dremel, hand tools and patience, you can do some really great restorations.

I'm too much of a noobie to try it myself yet so yes I'll send it out this time.
As for cameras,I used to have a sony f171 with its Carl Zeiss lenses like I have on my Contax RTS2.This Nikon is my first Nikon
