    Default Mastri Livi Videos

I found these on youtube. If this is a repeat post I am sorry. I thought it was cool, but being a newbie I find his technique for sharpening and stropping to be against everything I've read and been taught so far. But I won't argue with him.

Liked the vids, loved the razors

I agree! this looks more like a "How Not Too" video than anything else. I am surprised anyone could shave with it when he is done.

Strops on his hand. That takes some confidence. Not to mention skill.

The video knocked me for a loop when I saw it too but Mastro Livi is DA BOMB ! He builds some of the most beautiful and effective razors that I have ever had the pleasure of shaving with. He is has gone beyond being an artisan to a great artist IMHO.

Watching him slap the stones and rub the edge of that razor reminded me of watching a martial artist.

The fast movement with total control at the last possible millisecond.

His razors are amazing I think.
