    Default 44-20 anyone?

I saw a razor (sorry my cell is ****ed so no pictures- well there is a pic of the one I found online, but not the other) that says "44-20 trademark Manganese Steel" on the back of the tang. It has the same scroll inlay 44/20, and same swirly bottom bolster, and three pins, but brass inlaid into butterscotch scales. What is the significance of 44-20 or 44/20? The one I am lookign at is the 800 and is butterscotch scaled with brass inlay work, and no bluing.

Nice looking blade and scales. I've sen pics of similar blades but it's been a while and I don't remember anything about it. I must be getting old. I'm sure others will stop by and offer some info. Good luck.

Never seen one like that, it looks somewhat rare, I particularly like the scroll work on the edges of the scales. Since it's branded with a name in English, it must have been made just to sell in the US, UK, or Canada.
