    Default Opinion, please?

    Hello!

    I thynk it is time to ad another good razor to my set :-)

    But I would like to ear your feed-back on these 3 great razors and help me decide:

    - Dovo 6/8 tortoise;
    - One of the 5/8 black scales Henckels Lynn is selling now in the classifieds;
    - 1/4 hollow ground Le Grelot from Rasurpur;

    Thoughts any one ....

    P.S. Although I would love to, buying all three of them is not an option right now!

    I my humble opinion which one is selected really depends on your current inventory. For example if I so desired to add a third straight to my collection I would not add a Dovo Inox since I have two of them already. Please list your current inventory of straight razors.

    Seems like the Henckles is the best bang for the buck ....
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    That henckles is pretty....

    But.. I guess another questions is.... Are you looking for a shave ready razor?

    I guess you could pay to have lynn hone that henckles while it is still at SRD Headquarters....

    Personally, i'd take the Henckels, but that's because i like them. I'd be very interested in how this new generation compares to the older ones.
    If it's taking Lynn a while to hone i would consider carefully before attempting to finish it yourself.

    I'd go for the Le Grelot. Not sure that you can make a bad choice with those three though.

    le grelot would be much stiffer grind than your current ones
    the henckels would be stainless and yes, have them hone it for you if you go for that one.
