Default "High Art" Razor with rope scales - manufacturer?

Recently came across quite strange, but still a pretty razor. The only marking it has "high art" on a blade. No any marks on other side. Does anyone have any idea about manufacturer?

Good razor. But it'll be difficult, to find the manufacturer. It was written on celluloid and eventually erased.

That will be tough. Especially since the rope scales were used by numerous manufacturers and seem to be fairly common. There's a W&B on Ebay right now (no High Art or any other etching on the blade) that's got identical rope scales.

Same manufacturer of this one? Wm.A.Shu[..] Features in common: 1. scales; 2. cevered tangs; 3. motto-etch on the blade.

I'm not so sure. The one you linked has a jimped tang.

All I know, is that I like the look of that "High Art" razor.

That's true, rope scales were as an option for many razors. Yea, looks like you guys are right, it will not be an easy task to identify this razor. Only is someone had the same.

    Thanks anyway

I had 2 "high art" razors and they were both Wilbert's:

    WILBERT CUTLERY CO
Trademark used by Sears, Roebuck & Co.
    Chicago, Illinois
    ca. 1908 - 1921

The ones I had were pretty good shavers, pretty stiff even for a hollow grind.
