S.A. Henckels Razor?
I'll post pics when possible, but I have found no info on a razor I've had for some time. Plain black scales 6/8 round point. The makers mark rather than being stamped is lightly etched to the point where it's faint when viewed at certain angles. It clearly says S.A. HENCKELS and was made in Solingen. Based on it's appearance and bakelite or rubber scales I would assume it's 30+ years old if not older.
Any info?
Thanks

Thanked: 317J.A. Henckels is very well known, and they are excellent razors, but I've never heard of S.A. Henckels. Are you sure is says S.A.?

Thanked: 317Well, that certainly answers my question, S.A. Henckels it is.
I've never heard of it, but for what it's worth, I've yet to see a vintage solingen that wasn't a good shaver if properly honed. (although I'm sure you know that already)
I tried to search for it, and all I could find was J.A. Henckels links, this post, and a few vague referrences that suggest they "may" be the same thing, but labled "S.A. Henckels" on some that were sold in Spain.
