My New Straight Razor Stand
Gentlemen,
I was looking for a rack for my straight razors and was not willing to spend a fortune on one. Then I realized, as a former pipe smoker, I had a four-hole pipe rack I could use. Today I asked our handyman here to cut a notch into the holes so that I could fit in my razors. The man knows his stuff. Now my razors are safely stored, tang up, in my former pipe rack.
I also have a 20-pipe rack, but I did not think that would be ideal for the bathroom. In fact, I plan to sell the rack and all my pipes and paraphernalia on the site, as soon as I can find some time to write up the notice.
In the meantime, I admire my new razor rack every time I walk by it.
Regards,
Obie

My New Straight Razor Stand
Kent,
I will be more than happy to post the picture of my modest razor rack. Only if I knew how. My expertise with these computing machine thingies is about 10 below zero. I know word processing, Internet research and how to sign on and off this site (which I screw up half the time). I hope to receive some technical instruction in the next few days, and will post the photo then. As I said, it is a modest rack, but it's mine. In the meantime, perhaps I can ask my wife to stain it and make it look really pretty.
Regards,
Obie

Ask and you shall receive:
1) Get your self a digital camera (I typically recommend ones made by Cannon)
2) Set everything on auto (for a basic computer user this is the best thing to do)
3) Take the CD that came with the camera and put it in the CD drive
4) Follow on screen instructions
5) Connect the camera to the PC (typically a cord will be included with the camera to accomplish this)
6) Logon to Straightrazorplace.com and upload the photo you took.
The easy way out is to sign a contract with a company such as geek squad who will help you with any PC operation for approximately $100 a year.

Many thanks for the instruction. I'll see what I can do in the next few days.

+1 on almost everything, jbcohen said. If, however, you're using a Macintosh it's usually best to skip steps 3 and 4 and just use the software you already have (assuming you're using OSX). Not trying to get into platform wars by the way, this is just my experience.

Also its helpful to either shoot the picture at lower resolution, or get a program that can convert you image to something small. Lots of computer site will not take pictures over 2M. It also decrease your upload time. I like the program irfanview. Its very easy to use.
Good luck

Razor Stand
Gentlemen,
It's been busy with too many deadlines. I'll see if I can put something together this weekend.
