They do at that!
This is from a post on the Wapi VS Wapi II from Kenrup after someone had made the comment that the II looked like the DA's lil brother,
These razors are made by the original maker in Poland. When I first received the shipment from Poland, I broke one out and TPT tested it. I ran it over a chrome ox strop, stropped and shaved with it. I can't really call it shave ready out of the box, but it was better then most. I was very pleased with the results. I then honed it, checking it under a microscope at each step, I was pleased with the quality of steel. It is a step up from the Double Arrows but not the same steel as the original. I test shaved with it again and it did great. If feels like a sports car compared to the originals sedan feel. The balance is great and I found it very nimble. The ones I have already sold are in the hands of the buyers by now. I would expect to see some posts about them soon. They do cost less then the original. Therefore I can sell them for less and still include shipping to address in the US. Every razor I sell I guarantee. I also warranty the edge as I do for the other razors I sell. It's a three month warranty, for WHATEVER reason the blade becomes too dull to shave, for the cost of return postage, I will re-hone it. I specifically gear this towards the beginners. We all know how easy it is to mess up an edge when learning to strop.
Here is the Wapi II with its box and certificate.
Here is an original Wapi and the Wapi II.

This looks very much like the so-called "Plastic Wapi" (because of their scales) which were also for sale on the InvisibleEdge.co.uk. I bought one from them a short while ago, but it is rescaled in American Redwood. As a matter of fact, mine is currently for sale (I just got my first Custom, one by Mr. Chandler, and I promised myself that the Custom would replace one of my existing straights, and not just be an 'addition'
Mine did not come in its box nor with its certificate, but Steve from the Invisible Edge assured that his were real "Wapi's". And he knows what he is talking about.
If anyone is interested in the re-scaled Wapi, please PM me.Last edited by Smoothy; 08-07-2009 at 04:21 AM.

This will sound dumb and redundant but if you find someone who speaks polish the world will open up to you. They seem to be *common* (at least more common than here) over there. Type in the things on the box into google and spend some time looking through cached pages using translator. They have an ebay equivalent called "Allegro" it seems, and there are a few up there right now. They seem pretty cheap too. Its safe to bet that the Polish currency is not as strong as the dollar, but even at 1:1 there's one going for $40 and another at $9. Granted they're auctions but they don't seem to be getting any higher than ebay and I gather you are not after it becaue of price, you seem to be collecting.
BTW- the things on the box say something to the effect of Salon Hairdresser. I had guessed the Hairdresser before as Friseur is German for hairdresser and if you know a bit about Eastern European language you can take a stab at it- IIRC, ska is a suffix, so the root is Fryzjer which is pronounced similarly to Friseur (different literal spellings, but if you decode teh way things are pronounced in either language, the phonetics are similar I believe). But I digress. My point is I bet its like the production Fromm or G&F Timor. A model for upscale hairdressers.Last edited by khaos; 08-07-2009 at 05:19 AM.
