    A lot of things go in spurts. I too have seen way more round points overall than square but I have no idea which they made more of.

    If you go to the Dovo or TI pages of various vendors it seems to me ( I didn't check before posting) that the companies make mostly round points. I imagine neophytes are less threatened by them and they probably sell faster.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    The funny thing about that is that in vintage US razors the spike seems a lot more prevalent than they are anymore.
    I tend to prefer the spike myself, but that may just be because my favorite maker favored spikes in the narrow blade profiles.

    The only thing about round points with me......my ear lobes don't really care for them.
