filarmonica steel
I have looked around the forums but could'nt find a answer to what type of steel the fily double temple nos from cs is, carbon or stainless and what grade anyone?

The four vintage Fillys I have are all high carbon. Whether they made stainless or not is unknown to me. Back then a lot of the makers used Swedish steel but I don't know what specific type Fillarmonica used. Whatever it is they are darn good shavers IME.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

the filarmonica razors from classicshaving are carbon steel.

I'm sorry, but Filarmonica Doble Temple razors from Classicshaving are made from surgical steel. But today surgical steel is stainless steel.

All I can say is I love my Filarmonica #14. I have a Fridour too, but the Fili is so much a better shaver, at least in my hands.
