FW Engels Leader
Got this beauty off the bay recently and it doesn't appear to have used too much. As in not at all. It looks as good as my brand new DOVO did when I broke the seal on the box. I'm pretty sure it's a full hollow and it had some surface rust from sitting around not being used for so long but MAAS took good care of that and there's just some staining left.
As a side note - MAAS is some great stuff!
Now the pics...

Thanked: 18Nice score! I also have a leader razor which is a fantastic shaver. Yours looks very nice, as it still has all the bluing on the tang. Hopefully the area around the edge isn't too messed up and you can clean up the pitting around the edge easily.

That is a nice score. I have one too and I never met an FWE that I didn't like. If it was me the first thing I would do with that is set the bevel then look at it with magnification and see if I could get to good solid steel or if the pitting is so deep that the edge will swiss cheese on me.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Nice find! I have an Leader also and it is my "goto" razor. A friend gave it to me when his grandfather passed away. Holds a great edge and shaves like a dream. Enjoy!

Put a bevel on it, then finshed the edge and put it under the microscope...A nice even bevel with no cheese holes. A promising start.
Then I got so excited I went to shave with it and forgot to strop it. Oops! Even without stropping it's still the sharpest blade I've ever put on my face!!!

I just acquired one of these too. Looks just like pics here by OP, but except only needs a little cleaning up.
It was part of a "grab bag".
pics after clean up.
