Default Easy Aces Yellow Cracked Ice Scales

Just picked up a Genco Easy Aces of the Bay for restoring. Can anyone tell me about the color of the scales? Every GEA I have seen so far has the off white colored cracked ice scales... this one has a set of almost fluorescent yellow/green scales. Love the color difference. Is it a newer model? Thanks for the input.

I think it might be age. Of all the DD's I've seen, the better condition ones have white scales, the older/worse kept ones seem to have yellowed. Like being left in the sun or something.

Just from looking at the photo, it looks like the start of scale rot.
If so the scales should be taken off. I have had other razors that look like yours and it is most often scale rot. Or it was in with others that had scale rot. Could account for the color change.
It will make a good shaver once cleaned up and honed.
