Thanked: 10Moshy Bros.
I bought a Moshy Bros. razor a while back and started cleaning it up this. evening. After two rounds of MAAZ I can now see, ever so faintly on the blade, an etching. Two crossed flags at the toe, then a long Uncle Sam (person, not written out) complete with top hat and striped trousers and something written below him. The only thing I can make out it the word SAM.
I looked in the WIKI and tried a search with no luck. Can anyone help me out with a clear picture and info on this razor? Moshy Bros. New York, Made in Germany on the front tang and 105 on the back tang.
The pivot hole is quite loose and the blade slides back and forth as well as side to side. Yellow celluloid or plastic scales with a stag and floral pattern on the front.
Sorry, no pics.
Thanks,
Kev

Thanked: 3164Can't help with a pic, but Moshy had a partner called Rahaim, both were turkish with an import business in the US, set-up c1902. "Czar of Russia" was another brand they handled.
Maybe Moshy Bros was a later firm - the original Moshy's sons, maybe?
Regards,
Neil.
