    Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I was doing a little research on my W.Pepys razor and found some interesting info. This link to a couple pages in Google books Pg. 98 is a little bibliography of William Haseldine Pepys (1775-1856). It explains, among other things, that he followed his father into the cutlery and surgical instrument business. A lot more info than I can usually find about a razor maker so I thought I'd share.
