Need help identifying Razors bought at estate sale! Please help
Hello all,
I recently purchased these razors at an estate sale down the street from my house. I was wondering if anyone had any information on if they are good shaver's, or if they have any value to them or if there just junk. They were reasonable in price so im not going to lose a lot, but the razors were in overall good condition so that’s why I bought them. Well if any of you could please instill any knowledge upon me about any of these razors I would greatly appreciate it.

I have a hard time trying to read the tang inscription so it would help if you would write them down. The first one I know. It's a Wester Bros - De-Fi and it's an amazing shaver. I have one in my rotation and so does the G-Man!
Here's mine
This is Glen's

Thanks Max,
They are as follows:
1. Wester Bros DE-FI
2. Piedmont (That is all the razor has on it for markings)
3. James Lawson on the tang and The Hamburg Ring on the blade)
4. SRD on one side, and the other side says S.R. DROESCHER Solingen, Germany
5. Shumate's 012 on one side, Shumates razor St. Lewis U-S-A-
Thats all the info I can get off them, hope this helps.

They are all good razors and look to be in good shape to just apply a bit of polish on a paper towel and then hone 'em up and you have a very nice rotation.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I'm not familiar with the Piedmont but it is in good company with the rest so odds are that the owner knew what he was buying. Get them cleaned up and honed and you'll be good as gold.

S.R. Droescher are the makers of the Gold Bug. Another excellent razor.
"Droescher, S.R., Inc.; NY/Germany; 1916-1924"
Shumate needs no intro either. US company/steel.
Shumate Razor Co. Austin, TX until 1904, then St. Louis, Missouri
ca. 1900 - 1920
Shumate Cutlery Co. St. Louis, Missouri ca. 1920 - 1932
You got yourself a nice grab.

All of them seem to be pretty nice razors and should clean up nicely.

Thanked: 25....
The third one looks like a nice hefty blade. Properly honed it has all the makings of a "favorite shaver."

+1. Great finds. I have a SR Droescher "Classic" in my rotation and it does a real good job.

I have a twin to that Piedmont. Wonder where it's from, any more info on them? It's one of my top two shavers.
