    Default Filarmonica Scales

I have been observing the pictures posted of the Filarmonica razors and I noticed that the plastic scales all have beautiful colors.

The black, white, golden brown, red, blue, green and white remind me of the General Motors car colors of the early 50's. I have noticed almost the same colors on the Buicks and Cadilacs made from 1948 to 1954.

Now if I just had a set of Fillys in each of the colors and a matching 1953 Buick convertible I would be set.

    My seven day rotation.

I've seen the Barbas Duras in blue on eBay and was so excited ... until I watched the price just climb and climb. That transparent royal blue type color used on it is so perfect. Even the milky opaque blue and green I've seen on other models is neat. I'll have to admit I like them a lot. I wish there were more like that outside the custom razor genre.

I have Barbas Duras in black, white, light-green, golden-brown, "royal-blue" and red (with the blue my favourite colors) scales..only misse one color to complete the set for the week ! This razor is definitly my favourite. The scales were the "not so good" part at the beginning..but in the course of the "shave routine", i've found that they do their job really well..and i started to like them alot!

I am so glad Fillie RAD hit me before the prices went through the roof. Thank you to all of you on this forum that made me aware of their quality.

Tcharah Im doing the same thing using #13s! One more with blue scales and I may be set. So - anyone have a nice NOS 13 with the blue scales? I'd have shot for 7 different colored scaled Barbas Duras too, but by the time I figured out that Fillys and W&B are about the only blades I can use on this wire shredder on my face, the prices had gone wild. 13s work perfectly so no complaints. Here's to getting 7 matched razors that you love! ...and a little pile of others that can fill in when needed :-)

I'd say get yourself a Palmera too. At least that one is easy cause it only comes in a white or black scaled version.

Both the Fil 14 and Palmera reign supreme in my shave den.
