    Default HART Razor

I saw an ad on Classic Shaving for a Hart razor made in America. The blades are guaranteed flat and straight. Has anyone heard of or bought one of these razors yet? The company was started in early 2009. I'm looking for a recommendation........... JERRY

They just went up for sale for the first time last night. So not a lot of people will be able to review them yet.

Yes, we've heard of them, they just went up for sale yesterday, so noone who ordered has had theirs yet.

I'd recommend you leave early adoption to those who know why they're doing it.

A lot of money for an unknown entity. The ad copy looks great but my take is that in todays world hype is king and anyone on paper can make anything look great. I would just sit on the sidelines until others take the bullet and do a thorough review.

    Default A Better Buy

Classic Shaving also has an ad that states they are now exclusive liquidators for Filarmonica which is nolonger manufacturing str8s. They are priced about the same as the Hart razor.

It seems the more sensible buy, no?

If you can find them on the website they may be the better buy.

Maybe it's just because I'm a UI designer but that website drives me batty. I'm picky about such things and get deterred when I can't easily navigate the interface. For the life of me I can't find the Filarmonicas easily enough to care to dig through the maze anymore. Items aren't grouped and categorized consistently.

Default Khaos quoted a deleted post.

I have no idea why you deleted the post I don't see anything wrong with it? The only thing maybe would have been to change THE hart to MY hart or THIS hart, but otherwise it seems a valid review...

I examined one this past weekend at the New England Bladesmithing Conference and I like the clean look and styling. I haven't shaved with it but it looks like we're seeing the comeback of the American razor. Knowing who made it, I think it would compare favorably with a Dovo or Thiers Izaard in performance.
